Day 123 - Rock and Mineral Testing - Mrs. Cyr - Memorial Elementary Grade 3

Here we are observing six different rocks and minerals.

What do YOU think they are?

Now we are scientifically testing the rocks and minerals to see what they are.

Ask your child to tell you the names of the rocks and minerals they experimented with!

Day 89 - The Lowell Mills - Mrs. Cyr - Memorial School Grade Three

We had a fabulous day in Lowell today! I was so proud to be the teacher of such wonderfully behaved children. The museum guide was very impressed at our background knowledge and thoughtful questions.

Here we are learning about farm life and factory life. Did you know the mill boys made more money than the mill girls?

Here we are experimenting with different tools that will make cleaning the cotton easier.

Heading into the weave room. Block your ears!

Our last stop was in the map room. Here we looked at how the land changed from the early 1600s to the 1800s.
